Gold prices are at an all time high!!!

Gold will always be in fashion and looks good with just about any piece of clothing.  Gold comes in 2 colors, yellow gold and white gold.  It all depends on your preference.  You may want both yellow gold and white gold in your jewelry box, as one may look better than another depending on what you are wearing.

Solid gold is very durable and can be worn everyday.  Gold is measured in karats, the higher the karat the higher the gold content.  The higher the gold content the higher the price.

24 karat gold is pure gold.

18 karat gold is 75% pure gold (my favorite)

14 karat gold is 58.3% pure gold

12 karat gold is 50% pure gold.

10 karat gold is 41.7% pure gold.

Gold that is 10 karat and above is considered pure gold, at least in the USA.  If you  have allergies to metals such as nickel or other metals, choose metals that have a higher gold content.  Good quality jewelry will have the the karat number stamped on the inside.
